I just booked my flight to Bali, Indonesia…My second time travelling alone! The first time when I travelled alone was to Santorini, Greece and I enjoyed myself a lot.
My flight details to Bali are as follows:
TR 2282 SIN – DPS
- 20 Jun: 0715 – 0955
- Seat: 14A
- 2h 40 min
TR 2289 DPS – SIN
- 23 Jun: 1900 – 2145
- Seat: 15A
- 2h 40 min
The round trip Tigerair Bali flight costs me SGD 313.70.
The very last I took a Tigerair flight was almost 4 years ago where one of my friends was working as its flight stewardess and she booked me on a BKK flight without my knowledge. Truth be told, I find that a 2D1N BKK trip is too rush and tiring.
This is how the passport stamp looks like for entering and exiting Bangkok.
I finally bought myself a Burberry Black Label passport holder and I hope this also signifies that I can travel more often. The passport holder, quite chio hor?
I also got an International Driving Permit (IDP) over the counter at Automobile Association of Singapore (51 AMK) which I paid for SGD20. The IDP is valid for a year and is recognised worldwide as valuable document identifying motorists as legally-licensed drivers. With this IDP, you can rent a car or motor cycle anywhere in this world except Brazil, China and Brazil. It means you won’t get screwed and also, to avoid any unnecessary disputes when the local police decide to pull you over just because you’re a foreigner. Without it, you may get hit with ridiculous fines or bribe payments.
For the 4D3N in Bali, I will be staying in a 1 Bedroom Pool Villa at Uppala Village & Spa Umalas. Total cost for the 4D3N accommodation is SGD 413.85.
I can already imagine myself soaking in the outdoor bathtub, enjoying a glass of Champagne and room service dinner while blasting some of my favourite hit music.
I wanna get this Rainbow Unicorn float and throw into the large swimming pool outside the room. Woah…
Day 1 – 20 June 2016 (Monday)
5.15am – Reach Changi Airport Terminal 2 and check in my cargo luggage at Row 12. After the luggage check-in, I will have a light and hearty breakfast before I enter the Departure Hall
6.3oam – Check boarding gate and be at boarding gate at least 30 minutes prior to departure. Board TR2282 to Bali (Boarding usually close 10 minutes before flight’s departure)
7.15am – TR2282 departs from Singapore To Bali
9.55am – Touch down @ Ngurah Rai International Airport (a.k.a Denpasar International Airport). Collect my luggage from the conveyor belt and change local currency (SG 1 to 9841.66 Indonesian Rupiah) at the money changer.
After changing money, I will buy the local sim card (Telkomsel Simpati) that costs Rp 200,000 (SGD 20) with 4 GB worth of internet data and Rp35,000 in call credit at the arrival terminal. The counter is nearby the money exchange and ATM and just before the taxi counter.
I will then take a taxi ride (about 40 minutes or more) to the hotel, Uppala Village & Spa Umalas.
Address: Jl. Bumbak Dauh, Kerobokan, Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung, Bali
The check-in is at 2pm so I will drop by my cargo luggage first at the hotel lobby before familiarising myself around the area.
Gonna rent this open top 4×4 jeep…Don’t you think it looks badass to drive this jeep in Bali? I like driving with such large steering wheels…can feel the kick and power of driving.
An authentic Balinese lunch is a MUST! One of the Balinese cuisine that I definitely will try is Babi Guling (suckling pig). The most famous place for Babi Guling would be Ibu Oka in Ubud..
For the next three weeks till my vacation to Bali, I shall try to eat lesser so that I can devour more yummy Balinese cuisine. Hiak..Hiak..Hiak..
Day 2 – 21 June 2016 (Tuesday)
It is my birthday! Turning 26 years old officially on 21st June 2016! Never like the idea of spending birthday in Singapore and I prefer to spend it overseas. And I am spending it alone this time…Cos I am single! Been through a few crisis…So am I older and wiser? Probably not leh.
One of the bucket lists that I want to clear, turning 26 years old, is PARASAILING. 不 懂会不会害怕到尿裤子. 应该是不会吧..
As dusk falls, I will head to Ulu Watu to enjoy a good view of the vast indian ocean and admire the legendary Bali’s sunset while enjoying a good and simple romantic dinner.
Day 3 – 22 June 2016 (Wednesday)
After a hectic day of extreme sport activities,
…….To Be Continued…….
