Hi readers! I still hope I have some blog readers.. I know I have been updating my travel’s blog less often than usual.
Just came back from my trip to Boracay, Philippines. It was a 6 days 5 nights beach vacation from 2nd to 7th August 2016. When I was a flight attendant, I flew to the capital of Philippines, Manila (MNL) for few times but never to this beautiful island Boracay (KLO)
I took SilkAir flight [MI 599], departing from Singapore Changi Int’l Airport T2 at 10:00am which I completed online check-in prior to departure. Flight time from Singapore [SIN] to Kalibo [KLO] was 3 hours and 45 minutes.
It was an impromptu trip with no itinerary, which I have only bought the air tickets and accommodation from online mobile apps. The return SilkAir fare for SIN-KLO-SIN costs $371.40
Day 1 – 2nd August (Tuesday)
Mandatory tourist ‘self-shot’
嘴嘟嘟的 ‘candid shot’
Currency Rate: 1 SGD to 35.150 PHP. I manage to change 400 Singapore Dollar to 13,000 Philippine Peso.
AirBus A320, my first time taking SilkAir’s flight and also on an A320 aircraft.
CIQ (Custom, Immigration, Quarantine) forms to fill up for foreigners – Arrival card, Customs Declaration and Health Declaration Card
Window view from Seat 15A
It has always been a personal preference that I like to sit on the port side of the plane rather than starboard. Better view, maybe?

All the Singapore Airlines’ aircraft are equipped with Inflight Entertainment System (IFE), KrisWorld. Whereas for SilkAir’s aircraft, there is no inflight entertainment system but you can connect your electronic devices such as iPad to onboard WIFI network.
Ordered the special meal (SPML), low-fat meal (LFML) deliberately because I wanted to be the first few passengers to get food serve first. :p

The first thing when I came out of the airport was to buy the local sim card for my iPhone 6 and Samsung S7 edge. Didn’t have any itinerary so I was constantly google-ing where are the places-to-visit in Boracay. Boarded this taxi as I was told by the locals that there aren’t anymore van or coach to Caticlan jetty port. The 1hour 30 minutes taxi ride costs 1500 peso. Expensive siol~

I took the motorized tricycle from Cagban Jetty Port to my accommodation, Luxeview Hotel. The 15 minutes ride cost 150 peso. Halfway through, it began to rain…

My accommodation was booked through www.booking.com. The 5 nights stay at Luxeview Hotel costs PHP 8,930 (~ SGD 259), excluding 12% VAT.
Had a late dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, I was really hungry so I ordered 2 main courses – Baby Back Ribs and Aglio Olio. Must eat full full then can sleep well at night.. Lol~
